Installation issues such as loose RF connections, poorly prepared cable terminations and damaged RF components are potential sources of Passive Intermodulation (PIM) at a cell site. Left uncorrected, these defects can impact service requiring expensive repairs to restore site performance. Just as factory PIM testing has been used for more than a decade to verify PIM performance of RF components, portable PIM test equipment is now available to perform the same test at a system level in the field.

iQA Portable PIM Analyzer
The iQA portable PIM analyzer is a feature rich, high power PIM test solution. The design includes an integrated panel PC with intuitive touch screen interface for performing PIM tests and generating site reports. Optional Range to Fault (RTF) technology enables the iQA series test instruments to accurately calculate the distance to PIM faults.
iMT Portable PIM Analyzer
The iMT series Passive Intermodulation (PIM) analyzer is an economical, high power PIM test solution. This rugged, simple to operate design accurately measures IM3 as well as return loss (VSWR) performance of the device under test. Test data can be collected and reported using an external laptop computer.
iHA Light-Weight, Portable PIM Analyzer
The iHA series “Companion” Passive Intermodulation (PIM) analyzer is designed to complement the iQA and iMT series high power PIM test solutions. This low power, highly portable analyzer is an ideal tool for identifying PIM performance issues in difficult to access locations.
