Once calibration is complete, select Return Loss from the the upper left corner pull-down menu. From the factory the pull-down menu will include Return Loss, Cable Loss, DTF (Distance-to-Fault), and Spectrum Monitor. Only two of the modes, Return Loss and Spectrum Monitor, are actual measurements. Cable Loss and DTF are calculations based on the Return Loss measurement.
Upon selectiong the Return Loss mode you will see there is no data; in the upper right corner push the green triangle button to start the measurement. You should see a straight line at 0dB which is expected. You can auto-cale the results by pushing the "A" to get a more exact reading. A load can be connected to check the Return Loss measurement.
